Rachel Rademacher
Rachel joined 9&10 News in January of 2023 as a Lifestyle Reporter for "The Four." She recently graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts with a double minor in Journalism and Leadership.
Rachel's interest in broadcasting started early in high school through her multimedia class. She later started a news channel through her high school where she produced and anchored. This led her to find a passion for journalism and media.
At CMU, Rachel worked on many different shows through Moore Hall Television. She was a reporter for the award-winning news program, News Central. She also was a co-host for CMU's first-ever morning show, Morning Central. She discovered her passion for lifestyle news after hosting a lifestyle show, Central View Live and working as an entertainment reporter. Rachel also spent time working behind the scenes as a floor director and producing for News Central and Central View Live. In the spring of 2022, Rachel received a scholarship award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
Rachel grew up in a small town called Westphalia near the Lansing area. She had the opportunity to intern at WILX News 10 where she grew as a reporter in the Capitol City. After completing her internship, she spent a few months as a news reporter part-time for WILX while finishing her schooling.
In her free time, you can usually find Rachel at a coffee shop or at the beach. She enjoys any chance she can to spend time with her family and friends.
Growing up, Rachel spent a lot of time visiting her family in Northern Michigan and she is excited to begin her journey as a lifestyle reporter in such a beautiful part of the state!
