Bill Froehlich

Bill is no stranger to Northern Michigan, or to 9&10 viewers. He first came to Northern Michigan's News Leader 2010 and was part of the team through 2016. After some time out west to be closer to family, he knew returning to the area was inevitable. Bill came back home to 9&10 in 2018. Bill first began working in the region in 2002, working in television news as an anchor and reporter, then spending several years in news radio. He worked out of our Traverse City offices as a reporter and as our bureau chief, and he currently serves as anchor at 9&10. Bill's reporting earned him several awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, as well as an Edward R. Murrow Award. Over the years, Bill has been involved with the March of Dimes, Special Olympics, and volunteered as a Little League coach – just to name a few. His passions include telling stories about kids and veterans, and he loves to catch the latest movies on the big screen or visit local school concerts and stage productions. He lives in Traverse City and is a proud dad to two amazing kids.
