Tudor Dixon made a stop in Traverse City Tuesday night as she hopes to secure votes from northern Michiganders.

Tuesday’s rally in Traverse City brought out local lawmakers and hundreds of northern Michigan voters calling for a change. Many people in attendance Tuesday said Tudor Dixon was the change northern Michigan needs.

Dixon criticized Governor Whitmer throughout Tuesday’s rally. She raised a number of concerns on education, the economy and questioned Governor Whitmer’s leadership during the pandemic. The Grand Traverse County Republican Party Chair Lisa Trombley says she’s worried about the things voters in Michigan are concerned about.

“I think she’s focused on those right things that really touch what people are talking about here in Michigan. And she’s got plans to address each one of those,” Trombley claims.

Dixon’s stop in Traverse City comes as she continues her tour across the state encouraging people to get out and vote. Dixon called Traverse City, “an important area to get our message out.”

“I want to serve them; I want to make sure we get education back on track. I want to make sure we’re supporting law enforcement, and I want to make sure that businesses feel they’re a part in the state government and not an enemy,” Dixon states.

And while she continues her tour across the state with stops in Alpena and Midland Wednesday, she says northern Michigan voters can count on her to keep their interests in mind.

“We want to just let people know that we want to bring the state back, that we care about them, we care about their kids, we care about their safety, and we care about the American dream,” Dixon says.
