Zachariah Wheaton

Zachariah joined 9&10 News in January 2022 as a night side reporter at the Traverse City Bureau after graduating from Central Michigan University. Zachariah's original interest in broadcasting began in radio. He began as an on-air host when he was fifteen on his high school's radio station, 91.3 WCHW. After high school he joined Central Michigan's radio station The Beat 101.1 for a short period until accepting a job at Cumulus Media Saginaw where he worked as a part-time on-air host and board operator for WKQZ, WILZ, WIOG and WHNN. While at Central Michigan, Zach also got involved with CMU's award winning news program News Central. Zach worked as an anchor, reporter and producer on News Central and was also a co-host and producer on CMU's entertainment show Central View Live. Born on the west side of the state in Grand Rapids, raised on the east side of the state in Bay City and with family all over the state, Zachariah calls all of Michigan home.
