1. Self Reflection

  • Acknowledge that you have experienced financial trauma and that it does not define who you are as a person.

2. Intervention

  • Have a meeting with your family (that includes that family that you chose) to discuss prior financial trauma, how it made you feel, their role in it, your new boundaries, and how you plan to move forward.

3. Forgive Yourself

  • You can’t progress if you are in a perpetual state of blame. Create your own forgiveness mantra.
