Tennis star Novak Djokovic is back in Serbia after losing his bid to compete in the Australian open.

It comes after a two week ordeal over his COVID-19 vaccination status.

The world’s number one tennis player had no choice but to leave Australia after a court tossed out his appeal against the government.

Australia canceled his visa after finding out he took part in an interview and photoshoot after testing positive for COVID-19.

He also exploited a legal loophole to enter the country while being unvaccinated.

Australians, who have faced some of the toughest lockdowns in the world, were not sympathetic.

The Australian government says they believe letting Djokovic compete would have stirred up anti-vaccine sentiment.

Deportations from Australia typically come with a three year ban, so he may not be back anytime soon.
