Over $4,000 was donated to make sure no kids are hungry, and families have a merry Christmas.
The Grand Traverse Resort and Casinos made the donation to Project Feed the Kids and Adopt-A-Family programs at J&S Hamburg on South Airport Road in Traverse City.
Project Feed The Kids has provided more than 60,000 meals to kids.
Last year, the local Adopt-A-Family program gave out around 6,400 gifts to families in need.
“It’s a lot, it’s huge, it’s the community stepping up and helping when we need them the most,” said Jason and Tiffany McQueer, Owner of J&S Hamburg. “The last couple years, we all know, has been tough on everyone so we need it now more than ever. It’s been amazing. When you look around, there’s a lot of stuff for sure. This is just a start.”
