Mecosta Co. Sheriff’s Office Requesting Public’s Help in Fleeing and Eluding Incident

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public on a fleeing and eluding incident that happened Thursday.

Deputies say around 11 p.m. Thursday, they attempted to stop and older model white Ford Explorer.

They say it didn’t have a plate and it had a yellow Block M sticker in the upper left corner of the rear view window near Little Caesars in Big Rapids.

Deputies say the car failed to stop and continued through the Little Caesars drive through, then went behind Sky Mint and fled over to Fuller Street.

They say the car then went through the two-track at the end of Fuller Street, crashing through a chain gate and exited Westbound onto Woodward Avenue, eluding pursuing units.

The Sheriff’s Office requests that anyone who recognizes the car or has any information on the incident to contact the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.
