TSA Schedules Security Evaluation for Colonial Pipeline After Cyberattack

In July, the Transportation Security Administration plans to perform a security evaluation on the Colonial Pipeline.

Colonial says they were in the process of scheduling a review with the agency when they were hit by a ransomware attack by Russian hackers.

The purpose of the review is to make sure Colonial Pipeline’s system and security services are designed, built and operated in a reliable and resilient manner.

Colonial says dealing with the pandemic and moving to a new building slowed down scheduling a review by the TSA.
