Socially Distanced Oscars Had Big Wins for “Nomadland”

A socially-distanced Academy Awards were held on Sunday.

The big winner at the 93rd Oscars was “Nomadland.”

The film took home the best picture award.

Its director, Chloe Zhao, is only the second woman to ever win best director, and the first woman of color.

Francis McDormand won for her lead performance in “Nomadland” as well.

It was also a big night for Anthony Hopkins.

He won his first Oscar since playing Hannibal Lecter in “Silence of the Lambs” in 1992.
