Lake Superior State University says that they have one confirmed case of COVID-19. They say that the student resides on campus at Brown Hall and received rapid testing at the LSSU Health Care Center. The school has been working with the Chippewa County Health Department and contacting individuals who may have had direct exposure.

Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant
On Friday, Central Michigan District Health Department has identified 134 cases (126 confirmed and 8 probable) related to students returning to the Mt. Pleasant area.

Kingsley High School
Kingsley High School says an individual associated with the school has tested positive for COVID-19. They say the building was cleaned and disinfected on the evening of August 27. The Grand Traverse County Health Department has conducted contact tracing and approximately a dozen students were identified to have close contact. The school does not say whether it was a staff member or student that tested positive for COVID-19.

City of Manistee First Responders and Police
The City of Manistee is reporting that four first responders and one police officer were exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The five people were released from their shift shortly after the incident and are now quarantining. The City of Manistee Fire Department immediately contacted the health department and is following all CDC guidelines.
