The Chippewa County Health Department confirmed a new positive case of COVID-19 in a county resident on Friday.
The identified person is an adult female who has been under home isolation.
The CCHD will notify people who have been identified as close contacts with the individual. Those contacts will be assessed for symptoms and monitored appropriately.
