Celebrate All Things Beer at The Traverse City Beer Week

If you want an excuse to grow a beard or just have some northern Michigan beer, Traverse City Beer Week could be the answer! From November 8^th to the 15^th Traverse City is celebrating its growing micro beer world.

This includes the Great Beerd Run which kicks off November 9^th at 10 a.m. at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. The 5K is an untimed fun run with beer tastings along the way course.  Short’s Brewery, Right Brain Brewery and Beards Brewery will all have their beers along the race course. Plus, people can take part in a “Best Beard Competition” with natural and even fake beards. The after party will include a celebration with northern Michigan musicians, Broom Closet Boys. You can also celebrate Traverse City Beer Week with the Brewery Battle on Friday, November 15^th.  Aerie Restaurant & Lounge in Grand Traverse Resort is hosting the Short’s Brewery verses Greenbush Brewery from Sawyer, Michigan. Six stations will be set up where people can pair food and beers including a squash bisque, beet salad and stout brownie with caramel sauce.  Tickets are $25 for the event. To buy tickets
