This weekend is the and the celebration is one that will have the whole family excited.
The Irish roots run deep on Beaver Island and many of the families have been there for generations and this weekend is their chance to celebrate their heritage.
Madison Gardner caught up with the Director, Paul Cole, to talk all about the event and what you can expect when heading to the island.
Beaver Island is located in Lake Michigan and these locals are known for their peculiar form of water transportation, the currach. It’s very popular in Irish culture and it looks something like a large row boat or canoe. Madison checked in with President, Kristen Scheuing to learn all about it.
And what would a festival be without music? We got a live look at what the entertainment will look like on the island over the weekend and it’s definitely a unique experience.
