Moving on to pursue new and old passions, that’s what retirement is all about.

We’d like to congratulate the executive director of the Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City for retiring 30 years to the day he began working at Northwestern Michigan College.

Gene Jenneman actually helped build the Dennos Museum Center when he started working for NMC in 1988.

Jenneman says he is very fortunate to have served as its executive director since its conception.

His career has been taking him to Asia as a speaker, guest and delegate in South Korea and China since 2011. And in October 2018, Jenneman was part of a 20-member delegation of arts professionals from 14 counties invited to Israel.

He and his wife plan to stick around Northern Michigan and continue their international travels for NMC.

Sincere congrats to Gene!
