The former deputy director of the Grand Traverse County Commission of Aging is suing the county.
Laura Green was fired in February after learning about violations of the law from county administrative officials.
Now, she says she wanted to report those alleged violations, but was silenced instead.
County administrative staff argue Green was fired because she was acting angry and insubordinate at the meeting.
The lawsuit is a complaint against the county for three violations.
