Petoskey Pantry Donation Event Helps Northern Michigan Community Action Agency

A pantry donation event is being held Tuesday night to help raise awareness and collect food for the Northern Michigan Community Action Agency.

The event is in Petoskey at the site of a new project for a single family sustainable home.

The Northern Michigan Community Action Agency and Brother Dan’s Food Pantry are taking nonperishables to help support the community.

As part of a beautification project they are also planting flowers in front of the local homeless shelters and giving out information about services available to the community.

“It’s wonderful to be able to help out our neighborhood and to be there for people in our community and it’s great when we can see them start to succeed because of the little things we do as an agency to try and help them,” says Counselor, Angel Pierdinock-Hagen.

The event runs Tuesday night until seven.

There will be another community action agency event Friday at their Traverse City location.
