Crafting with the Katies: DIY Huge Paper Bag Snowflakes, A Festive Craft Under $5!

This week for Crafting with the Katies, we’ll be making some paper bag snowflakes! These are great additions to your holiday parties, or a great decoration for your home!

For this project, you’ll need:

  • Lunch paper bags
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors
  • String

To make your own snowflakes, follow these directions:

Step one: Take 7-9 paper bags and glue them together in an upside down “T’ shape. You’ll want to glue them with the bottom facing down toward you. Make sure the bags are stacked up and line up in the same direction.

Step two: Cut out a triangle at the top of you stack of bags (which should be the opening of the bags). After that, you can make any design you choose for your snowflake! Cut that out of the edges of the paper bags.

Step three: Fan out your snowflake, and glue the edges of the end two bags together.

Step four: Glue some string at the top of your snowflake so you’re able to hang it!

And it’s just that easy! If you have other crafts you’d like to see us try, email us at katywashburn@9and10news.com and katiebirecki@9and10news.com.
