On Monday, two people in Petoskey were charged for criminal sexual conduct against underage girls.

Jeremiah Page and Kristina Sterly were arrested last Thursday, and are being held in the Emmet County Jail.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation after being tipped off by Child Protective Services back in February.

They say two underage girls alleged numerous cases of abuse.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24, the Emmet County Prosecutor’s Office issued arrest warrants for the man and woman from Petoskey.

Page was charged with counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct against a 13- and 14-year-old, first degree child abuse, and child sexually abusive activity. He was on parole for assault with a dangerous weapon at the time of the arrest.

Sterly was charged with counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct against a 13- and 14-year-old and first degree child abuse.

Page received no bond. Sterly’s has been set at $500,000.
