Federal Prosecutors Asking to Have Ty Garbin’s Prison Time Reduced

One of the two men who plead guilty to planning to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer should get a break on his prison time, according to federal prosecutors.

Ty Garbin testified in both federal trails against the other defendants, originally sentenced to 75 months in prison. Prosecutors are asking he have 36 months taken off for his cooperation. Garbin played a key role in denying FBI entrapment during the trails.

The other man who plead guilty, Kaleb Franks, still has to be sentenced and he too testified in both trials.

The two men found guilty in the second trial, Adam Fox and Barry Croft, are scheduled to be sentenced in December in two separate hearings.
