A 26-year-old Afton man was arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct Fourth Degree, according to Michigan State Police.
A trooper from the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post was sent to a report of an alleged sexual assault in May 2022. The victim told the trooper that she had been inappropriately touched by another relative, according to MSP. These incidents occurred between January 2022 and may 2022.
MSP says the investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for Clayton Blanchard on July 6 and he was arrested on July 7.
Blanchard was arraigned on one count Criminal Sexual Conduct Fourth Degree and one count Children – Accosting for Immoral Purposes, according to MSP.
