Pure Michigan: Spending Spring Break in the Mitten

Spring break is here and you don’t have to travel out of state to have a great time with friends and family. The Great Lake State offers so much fun right in our backyard. Here are some amazing ideas for staying local during your time off.

And check out our live interview with the Vice President of Travel Michigan who shared some fun activities to do as schools go on spring break this month.

Spend some time poolside or twisting down a water slide with an aquatic adventure the whole family will enjoy! Michigan is home to many indoor water parks such as Avalanche Bay, Great Wolf Lodge, Zehnder’s Splash Village Hotel & Waterpark, Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel, Holiday Inn Hotel Waterpark or Lakeside Resort & Conference Center. Journey through time by paying a visit to one of Michigan’s art, science or history museums located throughout the state. Places like Impression 5 Science Center, Air Zoo and the Grand Rapids Public Museum are all kid-friendly museums and learning centers, while the Detroit Institute of Art and The Henry Ford are excellent options for all ages.
