Michigan health officials are reporting 3,120 new coronavirus cases and 96 deaths since Wednesday.
According to the MDHHS, between Thursday and Friday, the average number of new cases per day is 1,560.
Additionally, 54 of the 96 deaths were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 2,054,891 total confirmed coronavirus cases and 31,791 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Feb. 22, 5,612,042 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.
As of Feb. 19, 6.576,803 Michiganders ages 16 and older have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
According to as of Friday, 1,208 adult patients and 34 pediatric patients are currently admitted to hospitals across Michigan.
Of those 1,208 adult patients, 242 are currently occupying ICU beds with COVID-19. Of those 242 patients, 133 are currently on ventilators.
