Michigan Health Officials Report 16,530 New Coronavirus Cases, 358 Deaths
Michigan health officials are reporting 16,530 coronavirus cases and 358 deaths since Monday.
According to the MDHHS, between Tuesday and Wednesday, the average number of new cases per day is 8,265.
Additionally, they say 160 of the 358 deaths reported Wednesday were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 1,318,123 confirmed coronavirus cases and 24,090 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Nov. 30, 5,202,367 Michiganders ages five and older have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
Additionally, 6,115,092 Michiganders ages 16 and older, or 61.2% of Michigan’s population, has received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
According to Frontline UPdates, 602 adult patients were admitted to Michigan hospitals on Dec. 1 with a positive coronavirus status.
Of those, 70% were reported unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. 30% were reported to be fully vaccinated.
