President Sets Lofty Goals After Climate Conference

President Joe Biden is back at the white house this morning after his trip to the G20 Summit in Rome and the United Nations Climate Conference in Glasgow, Scotland.

The president set some lofty goals for the U.S., promising to make the country lead by example when it comes to fighting climate change.

Biden, along with other world leaders have pledged to reduce methane emissions worldwide by one third and cut deforestation in half by 2030.

The changes don’t promise to be cheap though with the president promising to spend up to nine billion dollars through that 2030 deadline.

But that will require consent from an already divided Congress that still hasn’t voted on his Build Back Better plan which includes spending to fight climate change.
