Police Send Dental Records of Body Found Friday, Expecting a Match to Abby Hill

Michigan State Police discovered a body on Friday in a wooded area in Alpena Township that they believe belongs to 31-year-old Abby Hill.

They say they’re pretty confident it does belong to Hill, and they’ve sent dental records to a lab in order to confirm the identity.

Troopers wouldn’t say if it was a tip that led them to that wooded area, only that it was information they got through the ongoing investigation.

Hill is listed as a witness in a separate kidnapping case where two people, Joshua Wirgau and Brad Srebnik, were arrested.

State Police aren’t commenting on any connection between the three and the disappearance and death 18-year-old Brynn Bills. But investigators found Bills’ body buried in the backyard of Wirgau’s home.

According to Bills’ father, who is currently in contact with Michigan State Police, Hill was the girlfriend of Srebnik and if it wasn’t for her, his daughter never would have been in contact with either of the men.

Michigan State Police wouldn’t comment on if Hill was killed, but they have officially declared Brynn Bills’ case as a homicide.

Police have not confirmed whether or not Srebnik and Wirgau are related to the case of Brynn Bills, but they are currently in custody and are both facing a $500,000 bond.

They’re still waiting on the autopsy report for Bills, but according to Lt. John Grimshaw, they’ll be putting out more information to the public this week.
