Michigan Health Officials Report 8,297 Coronavirus Cases, 104 Deaths
Michigan health officials are reporting 8,297 new cases of the coronavirus and 104 new deaths since Wednesday.
According to the MDHHS, the average number of new cases between Thursday and Friday is approximately 4,149 cases per day.
Additionally, they say 58 of the 104 deaths reported Friday were identified during a review of vital records.
In total, Michigan has had 1,081,525 total confirmed covid cases and 21,563 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Tuesday, 5,054,381 Michiganders ages twelve and older have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
Furthermore, as of Oct. 8, 945,175 Michiganders are reported to have recovered from the virus.
