Four People Arrested For Breaking and Entering In Missaukee County

The Missaukee County Sheriff’s Office says four people have been arrested for breaking and entering.

On Thursday afternoon, deputies were dispatched to a home in Bloomfield Township for a report of breaking and entering.

They say they met with the victim who reported that his house and his neighbor’s home had both been broken into.

While deputies were speaking with the victim, he told them that a suspicious car had just arrived at the neighbor’s home. Deputies went over to speak to the driver, but they drove off as deputies approached.  They then noticed that many items were taken from the second home and stacked on the front porch.

Deputies began a search for the car, and found the suspects a short time later about a mile East of the 11000 block of Burkett Road along with a stolen car which was taken from the second home.

Three of the suspects were taken into custody, while the fourth ran into the woods as deputies approached. Deputies were able to catch the fourth suspect with help from the Michigan State Police K-9 Unit after a short search.

Deputies state that many stolen items were recovered at the scene from the suspect’s car, along with stolen items that had been loaded into the stolen car.

The Sheriff’s Office says all four suspects have been arraigned on second degree home invasion.
