The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office arrested three men on child sex trafficking charges after a sting operation Friday.
The Sheriff says Aaron Nowicki and two other men were chatting about sexual acts with what they thought were underage teenagers online, but it was actually officers who set up meetings with the men.
They were arrested individually as they showed up to a Sault Ste. Marie hotel.
Aaron Nowicki was a priest in the Diocese of Marquette. He was removed from the ministry in 2019 for allegations of sexual misconduct, which was reported to the Michigan Attorney General.
