A second GOP infrastructure counterproposal could be headed to the White House on Friday.
Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris gave a speech saying that high speed internet access for all Americans must be included in the bill.
She says President Biden’s infrastructure plan would create good jobs setting up broadband in every community.
Biden has reduced his infrastructure plan from more than $2 trillion to $1.7 trillion.
Republican’s first counterproposal came in at just under one trillion.
The White House says the GOP’s proposal doesn’t include some of Biden’s priorities like fixing VA hospitals, removing lead pipes and funding clean energy jobs.
