Pirate’s Cove Adventure Mini Golf in Traverse City is joining 29 other locations across the United States to raise money for veterans this Memorial Day weekend.
This is the 14th annual Putting for Patriots event for the mini golf course.
They donate 3% of their earnings from Memorial Day weekend to two national nonprofits, Homes for Our Troops and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors.
New this year, the Traverse City location will also be donating funds to Reining Liberty Ranch, a local charity that promotes emotional health of veterans through horses and other farm animals.
“We are selling cards that you can put your name on for Friday, and then the rest of the weekend it’ll be donations in a bin, said General Manager Tim Olson.
Putting for Patriots has raised over $600,000 since the inception of the event.
