Suspect In Alpena Home Invasion Returns To Michigan

 

The Alpena Police Department says Allan Hughes, 28, of Wyoming returned to Michigan Saturday following his arrest in Scottsdale, Arizona on May 4.

Officials say Hughes is being held at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center in Jackson, as is awaiting arraignment in the 88th District Court.

Hughes was arrested by the Scottsdale Police Department after he was identified as a suspect in an armed home invasion in Alpena on Apr. 27.

Hughes faces seven charges, including: Armed robbery-serious injury, first degree home invasion, unlawful imprisonment, felonious assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, possession of a weapon by a felon, and one count felony firearm.

Additionally, Hughes faces as third offense habitual offender notice.

The Alpena Police Department says they are continuing to work with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to locate a second suspect and anyone who may have aided them.
