Michigan Republicans are seeking more information on Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s trip to Florida.
The chairman of the House Oversight Committee has sent Whitmer questions about her trip to visit her sick father.
Republicans say they may need to investigate further if she refuses to answer.
Whitmer took the trip using a jet owned by business executives and paid for the trip from a fund set up for inauguration events.
Her chief of staff says the trip fell under the purposes of that fund.
