Liz Cheney Removed from House Leadership for Trump Pushback

On Wednesday, Republicans voted to remove Rep. Liz Cheney from her leadership post.

It took GOP lawmakers less than 20 minutes to vote for her removal.

Cheney has been an outspoken critic of former President Trump and his false election claims.

Trump and other top Republicans have been pushing for her removal as the number three House leader for weeks.

Cheney says despite her removal, she will continue pushing for her party to distance themselves from Trump and his “destructive lies.”
