Michigan health officials are reporting 2,057 new coronavirus cases and 112 additional deaths.
The state has now had 871,569 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 18,467 total deaths related to COVID-19.

As of May 7, the cumulative total of recovered of COVID-19 cases in Michigan is 703,746.
The CDC announced Thursday that it is easing its indoor mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people.
The new guidance allows for fully vaccinated people to stop wearing masks inside most places.
The new guidance still calls for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings such as buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters.
The CDC will also no longer recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks outdoors in crowds.
