Firehouse Subs in Traverse City Hosts Parade for Customer with COVID-19

Firehouse Subs in Traverse City teamed up with local law enforcement and firefighters to spread some cheer to one of their regulars.

After James Delong stopped showing up at the store, the manager reached out and found that he had caught COVID-19.

Then spent 28 days in the hospital, and is now recovering at Medilodge of Grand Traverse County.

Earlier this afternoon they gathered for a drive by parade that the residents at the Medilodge got out to enjoy.

“Blew me away, I just wasn’t expecting it. It’s a real honor to have somebody do this for me.”

James says he can’t wait to see those friendly faces again once he’s released from the facility.
