After James Delong stopped showing up at the store, the manager reached out and found that he had caught COVID-19.

Then spent 28 days in the hospital, and is now recovering at Medilodge of Grand Traverse County.

Earlier this afternoon they gathered for a drive by parade that the residents at the Medilodge got out to enjoy.

“Blew me away, I just wasn’t expecting it. It’s a real honor to have somebody do this for me.”

James says he can’t wait to see those friendly faces again once he’s released from the facility.
