With the sunshine and warmer temps, it’s finally starting to feel like spring in Northern Michigan! Not only is the spring season upon us but so is farmer’s market season. The Sarah Hardy Farmers Market in downtown Traverse City has opened its 2020 season with an online Marketplace. So far it has been a huge success. In the first ordering period alone they had 400 customers and had $20,000 worth of orders.

Tricia Phelps, C.E.O. of Taste the Local Difference worked tirelessly to get vendors onto the online marketplace. She is thrilled with the overwhelming response. “It’s been incredible that the turnout from the community has been really, really great,” says Phelps.

If you’re looking to purchase items from the online marketplace, you’ll need to go to the , make a profile and then add items from the vendors to your cart. Unlike a typical farmers market, you are able to add to your cart from Saturday at noon through Thursday at 10 am for any given ordering period with a pickup the following Saturday.
