What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Chocolate Covered Boyne, Snowmobile Fest, Travel Guide
Northern Michigan has plenty going on this month with snow sports taking center stage, along with Valentine’s Day.
Courtney Sheffer from the West Michigan Tourist Association brings us details on What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
February is the month of love and chocolate, and chocolate-lovers should plan to head to Boyne City on February 14 and 15 for the Chocolate Covered Boyne event.
Downtown merchants and vendors will offer delicious chocolate treats and in-store specials.
Visit the Boyne City Education Building on Main Street to sample this year’s entries in the dessert contest, and make sure to stock up on sweet treats to bring home.
The festival is all about getting out and riding the trails together, so plan to join in for “Michigan’s richest snowmobile fun run,” with extra stops and an additional day to ride this year.
There’s no cost to participate, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for each stop you visit, as well as earn an entry into the cash drawing taking place at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
You can even join in a guided ride starting at the Tourism Bureau on Saturday to visit the different stops.
Whether you’re already dreaming of summer or looking for new ways to get out and enjoy the cooler months, the brand new 2020 West Michigan Carefree Travel Guide is now available as a free travel resource.
Make sure to check out the maps that are included, which highlight the best golf courses, bed and breakfasts, history hot spots, and more in the area.
