People all across the country are struggling to make it to their medical appointments because of a lack of transportation. That is why one local organization is stepping up to help them with the New Freedom Volunteer Driver Program.
Cadillac Wexford Transit Authority executive director Carrie Thompson and board member Mike Hayes were LIVE on ‘the four’ to tell us about how it’s helping local seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
A federal grant is helping these community members by paying volunteers 50 cents per mile to transport those in need.
