Sexual Assault Case Dropped Against MSU Athletic Trainer

A felony sexual assault case has been dropped against a Michigan State University athletic trainer who had been implicated Larry Nasser sex-abuse scandal.

David Jager was charged with assault with intent to commit sex acts in a 20-16 incident involving a woman in Lansing.

The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office told a judge on Friday it was dismissing the charge against him.

The case was not related to Nassar’s.

The state attorney general’s office last year concluded Jager and ten other people at MSU knew of Nassar’s sexual abuse of gymnasts and female athletes but did not report it.

Jager has been on unpaid leave since August.
