Registered Dietitian Tara Rybicki, with , can show us how to start the day with whole grain lemon cherry pancakes.
Whole grain lemon cherry pancakes
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas mashed
- 2 egg
- 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1/4 cup nut milk
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Small amount of avocado oil
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- ¾ cup dried cherries
- Raw honey optional
Instructions
- In a bowl mix evenly the bananas, eggs, flour, milk, lemon zest, lemon juice, and baking soda.
- Coat a frying pan with oil and heat to medium. Add small amount of pancake mix, sprinkle a few cherries into each pancake, cook until light brown then flip and cook to light brown on the other side. Do this until all of the pancake mix is cooked.
- Top with honey if you would like.
