Dog Calvin Seeks Forever Family at The Humane Society of Midland County
The 8-year-old Boxer mix made the trip to the 9&10 News Studio with the Humane Society of Midland County to search for someone willing to make him part of the family.
The shelter says Calvin’s owners passed away, and he found himself at the Detroit Animal Care Control before the HSoMC took him in.
He is house trained, good with other dogs and truly loves all people. HSoMC says Calvin also knows “sit,” is good on a leash and can be cat-tested upon request.
Anyone looking to bring him home should bring their current household pets for a meet-and-greet. If you mention seeing him on 9&10 News, his adoption fee will be reduced from $75 to $40.
You can fill out an online adoption application here.
Call ahead at 989.835.1877 to ask the shelter to hold a pet you are interested in visiting. This doesn’t guarantee you can adopt a dog, only that you can meet them.
HSoMC had had 883 dog adoptions and 1,033 cat adoptions in 2018!
