“We start out when it’s light and go through, up and down streets and stop in front of the oldest architecture in the city,” said Rick.

Rick and his brother Greg listened closely as Desirae described the spooky stories haunting Traverse City.

“I like to say it’s in my blood,” said Desirae.

It’s Traverse City Ghost Tours.

Desirae leads you through the second half to the Perry Hannah Funeral Home.

“Then we move onto the Traverse City Library, we’ve had paranormal investigative teams go down into the basement and items move on them, she explained. “They’ve actually seen a figure move across the room and block out the light and walk in the wall.”

After hearing counts of others witnessing spectators, it’s time for you to find them for yourself.

“I guess the high point was walking in the area where the old cemetery was,” said Greg.

Carrying thermometers to find a temperature drop or using lights to find something with your own two eyes.

While you’re looking from unusual things, unusual things might be looking back at you.

Next stop, the Omolette Shop.

The staff could recount stories where they’d see pans thrown off the wall at them.

“Really you’re getting this beautiful combination of wonderful stories, beautiful people from unique pasts and then it’s all set now this background of this very scenic very beautiful downtown area,” she said.

“I thought it was very entertaining, I really enjoyed the historical site of learning about Traverse Ciy’s old sections of the city, and the ghost stories were fun,” he said.

“I like the stories, it brings the past alive, the only thing I wish there could have been was some lighting and thunder,” he laughed.

While Desirae can’t quite change he weather, she certainly changes how they view Traverse City.

“I would encourage the people that live in this area to take advantage of something like this for no other reason than to open your mind up to the possibilities of such things and again the history side of things, I probably know more now more history of the downtown areas than people who’ve lived here all their lives, so I thought that was really positive,” said Greg.

“Nice thing to do on a summer night,” said Rick.
