What’s Trending Wednesday: Sunburn Remedies

As we near the summer months and summer vacation, you’re likely to start spending more time outside and, if you’re not careful, you could experience some painful sunburn.

So for What’s Trending Wednesday we have a few home remedies to help heal the painful sunburns.

1.) Start by wetting a washcloth with cold water.

Then, add raw organic apple cider vinegar to the cloth and dab the cloth on all the sunburned skin.

After a few minutes, the stinging and burning should go away.

Once the skin is dry, use organic coconut oil as a lotion to add moisture to the dried out skin.

2.) Try some soothing compresses.

Following a sunburn, the skin is inflamed. Cool it down by applying ice water or ice cubes.

This could help the burn heal a little faster

Apply cool water or ice cubes several times a day for about 10-15 minutes.

3.) Interestingly enough, you could try a potato paste.

You’ll need two potatoes, a grater and a few cotton balls.

Wash, scrub and grate the potato over a bowl.

Pour the liquid into a separate bowl to soak the cotton ball in, then rub the cotton ball on your burn.
