Kyle Ludwig is originally from Traverse City goes to Michigan Tech, he’s actually developed an app and it’s getting ready to be released. Today he tells us a little bit about it.

He and his co-founder were looking at what apps can do right now when it comes to making a healthier lifestyle more manageable. Kyle found four sections are typically used to make meals, so they wanted to create an app that covers all the bases. Their goal is to help people find a recipe, make a shopping list, gives directions about how to make the meal and then tracks calories and macronutrients. That app is .

Kyle says the biggest inspiration came from his own life, because he was so busy as a college student. When he spoke with others, he found many were in the same boat, making it more difficult to eat healthy. Americans on average spend 30 minutes or less on meal prep every day. The rest of the world spends about 2 hours. So these guys are hoping this app will make the process simpler.

The app isn’t quite done yet, they are crowd funding to raise money for the next phases of testing. There will be more than 2 million recipes on the app that personalize toward a user’s taste preferences. Right now that’s a minimum of $500 a month just for the data. Down the road that will go up to $5000 a month. Covering their expenses (especially as a student) is a priority, so that’s why they’re crowd funding.

You can preorder the app at a discounted rate to help support the young entrepreneur. They are hoping for a summer release date.
