The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a nearly 40-year-old cold case.
Detectives from the sheriff’s office and Michigan State Police are going back through the 1979 murder of Earl Marshall.
Marshall was shot and killed at his home next to the Cozy Inn Restaurant in Big Prairie Township, which he co-owned.
Detectives are asking the public for tips.
