Big Rapids Golf Club Loses Golf Carts in Fire

An overnight fire cost a Mecosta County golf club dozens of its golf carts.

The fire started around nine last night in a Pole Barn at the Falcon Head Golf Club in Big Rapids

Take a look at the destruction.

Around 40 golf carts were inside the barn at the time of the fire and are now charred black.

Three fire departments worked to get the fire under control.

The golf club says it’s a big setback for them at the start of a season.

“Obviously that’s a big concern at this stage the turnaround time to get new vehicles ready for the go the golf season is high priority. Not something you want to endure really,” said Owner Tim Dawkins.

No one was hurt in the fire and the cause remains under investigation.
