What started as an investigation into a personal protection violation uncovered a meth lab.
It happened last Thursday in Freeman Township in Clare County.
Deputies responded to John Laidlaw’s house to check up on that PPO and found a meth lab.
The Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team then responded to clean it up.
He’s charged with operating a meth lab as a habitual offender.
