More than 85 schools are closed in Detroit Wednesday for teacher sick-outs.
This is the highest number of schools closed so far due to the teacher protests.
On January 11, more than 60 schools were closed.
When Detroit’s mayor toured the schools, he saw a dead mouse and students wearing winter coats in the classroom.
The mayor says the teachers’ complaints are valid.
And the district says it has no choice but to close schools when teachers don’t report to work.
