Prahalis leads No. 6 Ohio State past MSU, 65-62

Samantha Prahalis scored 32 points to lead No. 6 Ohio State to a 65-62 win over No. 19 Michigan State in a key Big Ten matchup Saturday. Jantel Lavender had 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Buckeyes (17-1, 5-0 Big Ten), who remain all alone in first place in the conference. Four players scored in double figures for Michigan State (11-5, 2-3), led by Aisha Jefferson and Lykendra Johnson with 13 points each. Michigan State missed two jumpers in the final seconds in a desperate attempt to tie the game. The Spartans had led by as many as 11 points in the first half. The win leaves Ohio State in good shape early in the conference season as it seeks its record sixth straight regular season Big Ten title. (Copyright 2010 by The Associated Press.
